RE: Zain APPW stands for Average Points Per Week. This method is used to calculate the average weekly points of members to eliminate any differences in total points that may result due to unequal number of weeks for different members. In this method, your total points are divided by your total no. of active weeks. Active weeks are counted from the FIRST TIME you make a team in a particular season. That week and all following weeks will be counted as 'active', regardless of whether you make the team or not for those following weeks. You made your team for Season 13 Week 1 which means that all weeks including and after Week 1 will be considered as 'active' in your case. Therefore, your points are being divided by the current no. of active weeks you have (4 weeks).
Another point to be noted is that there is a minimum requirements for no. of active weeks. For example, if you make your team only for the last week of a particular season, then your points should be divided by 1 week to calculate the average. However, this is unfair on part of those members who have worked hard throughout the season and performed consistently. Therefore, PointCricket has a minimum 'cut-off' for every season. The cut-off differs from season to season but is usually five weeks. This means that if you have less than five 'active' weeks at the end of the season, your points are automatically divided by the minimum cut-off (five weeks) to give you the your APPW. This ensures fair competition for all members. However, it must be remembered that cut-off differs from season to season.
